For those of you that have been reading my recent Twitter or blog posts, you might have realized that I want to introduce some new content onto my blog, including guest posts and interviews. I’m excited to say that I’ve received a lot of positive feedback for that, and a few people actually took the time to be interviewed! The first of these is Habiba at Penning Some Life. I adore her blog, and was super happy when she agreed to be interviewed 🙂
At 22 years old, Habiba is a lifestyle, humanitarian, feminist writer whose posts are created from her own personal experiences and feelings. I highly recommend you check out some of her writing, because it’s really powerful. That’s why I was so excited to learn more about her!
Who Is Habiba…
What is something that you think everyone should know about you?
I do not mind if people do not know a thing about me.
Okay, fine, but please tell us about one experience that you believe shaped you and led you down the path you’re on today.
I believe it came to me natural. I can recall that i was so little since when i loved keeping a journal. I just can’t live without my journal, I love it more than any of my hobby or interests!
Your blog has a lot of feminist content– what steps do you take to empower other women?
I encourage them to stand and speak up for their rights if they are treated unequal at some points. I also consider it my duty to tell them the legal rights they posses as per law. Although i believe in keeping my own business but i can hardly keep that if i see a woman becoming a victim of violence right in front of my eyes. I never forget to appreciate those who are bravely stepping forward as well.
Some Blogging Advice…
In your opinion, what is the hardest part about blogging that you feel like a lot of other people don’t really understand?
The hardest part stays in the way you present your work. Your blogs should be worth grasping the eyes of people.
What is your favorite type of post to read?
That refers to personal experiences including the thought process documented as well during those experiences.
I completely agree. The most powerful posts are those that take you through real events, and show the true extent of people’s emotions
What is one piece of advice that you would give to all new bloggers?
Write from not only your pen or fingers but your brain and heart… and then see the wonders your honesty of words can make! 🙂
The Future of Penning Some Life…
What are your blogging goals for the coming year?
I intend to keep blogging on and off if not regularly. Also, I would be glad if i get responses on my blogs from different people. That boost to my energy would keep me going.
Come on people, that’s a sign for you to check out her latest post and give it some love. (trust me, you won’t regret it)
What is your favorite post you’ve ever written?
Every post that I make is out of my heart. I can’t choose one as a favorite.
We Can’t Forget About Books…
What is your favorite book?
“A Mirror to the Blind” – Autobiography of Abdul Sattar Edhi
Some Life Advice to Wrap it Up…
What do you believe is the most important thing for women to know as they go out into the world?
They should know their true worth, importance, rights and abilities.
Yes! Preach!
What advice would you give just people in general?
Don’t judge people because you never know that who would be going through what not circumstances of life and you would not have a clue about it. Love, care and help others.
This just keeps getting better… Habiba should be a life counselor, because her advice is on target.
A huge thank you to Habiba for being willing to answer all of my somewhat crazy questions, I really appreciate it! Make sure you share the love by checking out her blog, following her on Twitter, or sending her a quick email to show her how much you love her writing!
If you’re a blogger or an author who wants to be interviewed, let me know! I’m always looking for awesome new people to talk to!
