It feels like just yesterday that I was writing this post for February! This month flew by faster than any before it, resulting in me getting behind on all of my posts (hence the erratic upload schedule) and my life in general. However! I’m hoping to get back on track for the coming month, and it was still a good month overall.

Books I Read

Honestly, this is probably one of my lower-rated months for reading in a while. The books I chose just weren’t as good as my normal choices! Still, there were a few great ones in here that you should definitely read.

  • Now is Not the Time To Panic, by Kevin Wilson (3.5 stars)
  • Everything I Need I Get From You: How Fangirls Created the Internet as We Know It, by Kaitlyn Tiffany (2.5 stars)
  • I Have Some Questions For You, by Rebecca Makkai (5 stars)
  • Adult Drama, by Nataie Beach (3 stars)
  • Georgie, All Along, by Kate Clayborn (4 stars)
  • Hang the Moon, by Jeannette Walls (4.5 stars)

TV I Watched

I was honestly pretty disappointed with my TV watching this month! Nothing was good! Everything was bad! Minus Daisy Jones and the Six, which was incredible.

  • Class of ’07
  • Game of Thrones (Seasons 5-8)
  • The Bachelor (Season 27)
  • Daisy Jones and the Six

Movies I Watched

I’d only watched one movie going into the last week of the month, but the airplane proved to be a productive time for movie watching, leading to the completion of both Bodies Bodies Bodies and She Said. While I have yet to watch 21 Jump Street, I did (shockingly) enjoy the sequel.

  • Women Talking (4 stars)
  • Bodies Bodies Bodies (4 stars)
  • She Said (5 stars)
  • ’22 Jump Street (4 stars)

Reviews You Can Use

Sometimes, we publish reviews long after we actually consume the material. Below is a list of all of the reviews I published this month, in case you want to read some reviews right now.

Posts We Wrote That You Loved

Here are the most popular posts of the month!

  1. Daisy Jones & The Six Recaps– I absolutely adored watching Daisy Jones and The Six, and I loved recapping the episodes just as much! Join in on the journey and leave your opinions in the comments
  2. A Complete List of All 39 Out Gay Players in the NWSL– I wrote this post before, but there’s a whole new one for the 2023 season. Unfortunately, it contains fewer players than in years prior
  3. Gwyneth Paltrow is Both a Victim and a Perpetrator– Paltrow was receiving backlash for promoting a diet that, quite simply, is not calorically sufficient. While she should be called out for this, the truth is more complex.
  4. A Beginners Guide To Getting Free Books as a Book Reviewer– Are you looking to get into book reviewing? Here’s a complete guide for how to get free books to review!
  5. The Trap of Centering White Saviorism in The Paper Daughters of Chinatown– Aakanksha wrote an absolutely incredible piece on why The Paper Daughters of Chinatown missed the mark. The article includes resources to learn more if you’re interested!
  6. The Banshees of Inisherin is Agonizing Yet Beautiful– I still haven’t gotten around to watching this yet, but Chinwe did and she absolutely loved it. This most definitely seems worth the watch, and the review is worth the read.

My Bookshelf

I’m so excited about all of the books I acquired this month!!! All five of these are books I’m really looking forward to reading, and I can’t wait to find the time to actually dive in.

  • The Only Survivors, by Megan Miranda (Book of the Month club)
  • Thicker Than Water, by Megan Collins (Edelweiss)
  • Happy Place, by Emily Henry (Libro.fm)
  • 90s Bitch, by Allison Yarrow (purchased)
  • The Argonauts, by Maggie Nelson (purchased)

Off the Internet

As I said in the intro, I had a great month! I went on a road trip with one of my friends from Seattle down to San Diego, staying with other friends at all of the in-betweens. It was one of the most incredible trips ever, with such beautiful national parks and cities.

Other than that, just on the work grind!
